Do
I felt disappointed by the costal resort town of Ostend. It
all seemed so seedy.
It's mainly a ferry port used as a Booze Cruise to
take advantage of the lower European taxes than the UK.
It was
wonderful to speak English for the first time in months and to hear English
accents again. But it's not really the authentic seaside town experience
we were looking for.
There are lots of cafes with English menus serving
English food.
We were also shocked at the blatent red light district in
the centre of town right next to the kiddies play ground.
Generally a disappointing
location.
